Sky on 20 is Bangkok’s latest rooftop bar offering a slightly different vibe from other hangout spots in town with a lively casual atmosphere. The outlet is located in Sukhumvit area, one of the city’s most vibrant business and entertainment districts, and it’s easily accessible by public transportation, too. The bar is tucked away on the 26th floor of Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20, the first property from an upscale hotel brand ‘Novotel’ with a sleeker and more modern look. Novotel is one of the leading hotel brands within the AccorHotels group which offers a top-notch service experience to satisfy every expectation.
Upon entering the hotel’s stylishly-decorated lobby hall, take an elevator to the 25th floor and then walk up to the 26th floor. Sky on 20 will be right in front of you with a spacious alfresco area overlooking the lush gardens of Benjakiti Park and Benjasiri Park, as well as the modern skyscrapers. The bar is simply yet elegantly furnished to provide a relaxing atmosphere, giving an impression of being at a soothing picnic amongst the impressive gardens with excellent views over Bangkok. Highly recommended by the mixologist is the Red Hot Chili Pepper, inspired by an American funk rock band of the 80s. This golden cocktail is a well-mixed of chili infused tequila and a Spanish liqueur Licor43 with lemongrass juice, lemon, and vanilla. It is then topped with ginger beer and garnished with red chili.
Taking the classic whiskey highball to the next level, the ‘Straight Ahead’ and ‘Sex, Love and On The Rock’ groups are specially created for a distinguished gentleman. The Dandy Cocktail is a twist on the classic Negroni using France’s finest cognac, sweet vermouth, and bitter as main ingredients.
