What is Safety and Health Administration or SHA?

As part of the standard health protocol of the travel and tourism Industry, most hotels issued high-quality guidelines for safety and health administration. This is to maintain the security of tourist health during this Covid 19 and prevention of other contagious viruses. As part of the government’s plan to reopen Phuket to foreign travelers, the Thai government has introduced the Phuket Sandbox Program. Travelers do not need to do quarantine but they must stay in Phuket for at least 14 days in an accredited SHA+ Hotel and will then be allowed to visit other destinations in Thailand.

In collaboration with the government and private sector, Thailand, especially the City of Phuket aimed to develop confidence with SHA certification. The committee prepared the health assessment and process to provide the tourist an excellent service from their tourism establishment. The following keys are included:

• The staff is required to be fully vaccinated against covid 19.
• Must have a complete requirement as part of the protocol and guidelines to travel from the origin up to the establishment.
• Convenience and cleanliness between the communities and attractions.
• Online registration platform

The SHA wants to develop the visitors/tourists to be fully vaccinated and have safe travel without any quarantine requirements.
