    Motorbike Name Transfer

    It’s no secret that waiting in line and navigating the the Department of Transport isn’t people’s favorite way to spend a day (or days) just to change the name of registration for their motorbike. Thankfully we offer services to take that burden away from you regardless if you purchased a bike from us, or elsewhere. Our experienced staff speaks Thai, knows the process and is happy to help! Simply drop off your bike, green book and papers at our shop. We will provide you with a loaner bike, and call you when the process is complete. It’s that easy.

    Standard Name Transfer:
    For bikes that are purchased and registered in Bangkok. The process takes an average of one full day and is available to any bikes in personal or company name regardless of foreigner or Thai. We will help review your paperwork to make sure it is complete before doing the name transfer. If you have any questions, please contact us directly. Transfer fees are based on the purchase value. Our cost includes all government fees and is paid upon completion.
    • 2,500 THB (For purchase price up to 150,000 THB)
    • 3,500 THB (For purchase price 150,000 - 299,000 THB)
    • 4,500 THB (For purchase price 300,000 - 499,000 THB)
    • Over 500,000 THB, please contact us for pricing

    For bikes that are not currently registered in Bangkok and will need to have the title transferred from another province. This process takes two full days at the Department of Transport and is available to any bikes in personal or company name regardless of foreigner or Thai. We will help review your paperwork to make sure it is complete before doing the name transfer. If you have any questions, please contact us directly. Transfer fees are based on the purchase value. Our cost includes all government fees and is paid upon completion.
    • 3,500 THB (For purchase price up to 150,000 THB)
    • 4,500 THB (For purchase price 150,000 - 299,000 THB)

    For bikes that have had their tax expired for more than three years. This process takes two full days at the Department of Transport and is available to any bikes in personal or company name regardless of foreigner or Thai. We will help review your paperwork to make sure it is complete before doing the name transfer. If you have any questions, please contact us directly.
    • 4,000 THB (For purchase price up to 150,000 THB)
    • 5,000 THB (For purchase price 150,000 - 299,000 THB)
    • 6,000 THB (For purchase price 300,000 - 499,000 THB)

    Common Questions:

    How do I know if the bike is registered in Bangkok?
    The details are printed in the Green Book and on the motorbike license plate. If you are unsure, please send us a photo of the license plate and we can clarify where the bike is currently registered.

    Can you update tax and insurance at the same time?
    Yes, we are able to update your tax and insurance at the same time.

    Can I use the loaner bike until the process is complete?
    Yes, upon dropping off your bike and paperwork with us we will hand you the keys to a free loaner bike to use until the process is complete.

    Can you transfer the name for a motorbike if I do not have the Green Book?
    No, the green book is what clarifies the ownership of the motorbike and must be available.
