Important Visa Information
The visa amnesty ends on Sept 26.2020 Visitors who are not fit to fly home (sickness) must apply for a 30-day visa extension and provide a medical certificate. Visitor who can not fly home due to the lack of flights must present a verifying letter from their embassy to get a 30-day visa extension.
New 90-Day Long Term Visa
For travelers staying at least 90-days in Thailand. This new Tourist Visa may be extended locally at any Thai Immigration Office 2x for 90 days each. Visitors are able to stay for a total of 270-days in Thailand.
Thailand | Emergency Decree
The emergency decree was extended again until September 30.2020 Int'l travel activities are still restricted.
Phuket Tourism Pilot Program
Int'l visitors may be allowed to visit Thailand (Phuket) again from October 01.2020 onwards. Requirements: Minimum Bookings for 30-days. 14-days quarantine at selected hotels. Mandatory 07-days in Phuket before visitors are permitted to travel restriction free within Thailand. Flights on Thai Airways only from designated Corona "risk free" countries.
Flights out of Thailand
It's time to leave for all stranded visitors before the visa amnesty ends. Thai Airways offers fly-outs to Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, London and Copenhagen during September 2020. Please check this forum for more information
Medical Tourism | Elite Cards
According to the CCSA Elite Card Member and Medical Tourism Travelers are now permitted to enter Thailand. Already approved are Permanent Residents, Students, Work Permit Holder and Foreigners with Thai Spouses.
Thailand Airport Updates
The Phuket International, Bangkok Don Muaeng and Suvarnabhumi, Chiang Mai - and Koh Samui Airports are all operating.
Flights within Thailand
Bangkok Airways and Thai Air Asia are providing full domestic services including flights to Phuket and Koh Samui.
The island will be accessible for domestic travellers from June 01.2020 onwards. Thai-Air Asia offers 4 flights daily from Bangkok
Visa Amnesty until Sept 26.2020
This allows Int'l visitors to stay in Thailand without extending or applying for a visa - as long as their initial visa did not expire before March 26.2020 The 90-day reporting is waived during the pandemic. Please check the Forum for updates
